Business Model

Solar PPA (Power Purchase Agreement)

Nippon Energy introduced the Solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) through distributed solar solutions in 2014. This model is also known as the “RESCO” model. Currently, Nippon Energy also has a network of private offsite renewable energy farms across the globe, through which we supply large corporates with clean energy as per their requirements.

Nippon Energy PPA model

Nippon Energy funds and installs a rooftop or ground-mount solar power plant on your facilities and all solutions are customised as per the requirements of the customers and include carports and superstructures.

The customer enjoys Guaranteed Savings through a reduction in electricity bills as Nippon tariffs are always lower than that of the grid

Nippon Energy provides hassle-free maintenance to the plant through real-time analytics and remote monitoring system

Capax (EPC model)

The entire investment in this model comes from the power consumer. Nippon Energy provides turnkey installation of the entire solar power system and also hands over assets to the consumers. EPC also does annual operation and maintenance (O & M) of the plant on mutually agreed cost per annum. It also provides payback within 3-4years along with client benefits from Solar up to 35 years, with no bills.

Nippon provides installations of the solar PV systems on the roofs of IT/business parks and office complexes, shopping complexes, godowns, cold storage, hospital and health centres on the EPC mode or Investment mode, depending on the willingness of the owner of the premises.

In the CEPX model all investments are done by consumers while in the OPEX model, investments are made by a third party. Consumers are required to sign a PPA with mutually agreed tariff and tenure.
